Don’t be afraid of the ethnic look, it doesn’t have to be brash and intimidating. Despite the catwalks being awash with African, Indian and animal prints, its possible to tone it down and still stand out from the crowd. And when I say animal prints, don’t think Kat Slater. This look is about mixing different cultures and providing a look specifically for you.
Long Chunky necklaces and beads:
This accessory is an essential, it adds excitement and doesn’t involve too much thinking, which helps when it’s a Monday morning and you’re busy looking for socks that match. The aim is to find something that reflects your own unique style. Why not check out Portobello Road? The best day to go is on a Saturday, the vibrant atmosphere and music, are much better than being in a shopping mall surround by noisy kids. However, you may prefer going to Topshop, who has an array of necklaces that follow the catwalks. Go for a bright colour, like turquoise and team it with a simple white T-shirt and floaty skirt. Perfect for a relaxed day shopping or a walk in a park.
Wedges: 
Ideal for adding height (which is perfect if your 5ft and a half…the half is very important) Wedges are easier to walk in, especially if you’re prone to living in sneakers and flats. Wedges add a bit of glam; during warm days wear it with an exotic dress. This season doesn’t just focus on one culture, but a multitude that contrasts last season’s secretary look. Your own style may be more romantic, so try striking Chinese prints, with jeans and towering wedges.
Check out River Island’s selection, you could pair a simple dress, with vibrant necklaces in orange or red and wear some bright wedges as seen below. During a cooler day, add a denim blazer, which again you could adorn with beautiful creations.

If you want to stand out from the crowd of the suits, that greet you. Try bright printed dress with brown wedges. It will definitely wake everyone up around you, as well as yourself.
