With the popularity of extreme sports games, it was only a matter of time before the beautiful game of football was made “extreme”. Gone are the refs, rules and large salaried players. In comes a four-a-side, high scoring, neatly presented game.

You are placed in charge of a gang. Your mission is to beat rival gangs in a skilful game of four-a-side football to gain turf. To accomplish this, you are given a selection of silky moves that Zinedine Zidane himself would be proud of. That’s right. No hoofing the ball downfield and slotting the ball comfortably in the net. You’ll have to hop, jump and spin off walls to get yourself to the opposite goal finishing with a break dancing, ball juggling wonder strike.

With games often ending in double figures it’s an exhilarating affair. That is until you tire of all the glamour, the tricks and the petty comments from your rival gangs. There is only so long that the single mode will keep you entertained. You’ll begin to tire of those wonder strikes and long for the scrappy, off your shin goals that you will get in FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer.

Graphically, the game is very sound and has a good soundtrack consisting of various artists such as Queen of the Stone Age.

It’s never going to be a FIFA or PES3 beater but its well worth a rent. Especially if playing with a group of friends.
