Brooke Burns breaks neck

Former 'Baywatch' babe Brooke Burns has broken her neck after smashing her head on the bottom of a swimming pool.

The beautiful actress was rushed to hospital on Thursday (10/11/05) after diving into the pool of her Los Angeles mansion and fracturing a bone in her neck.

Brooke, who also hosts US television show 'Dog Eat Dog', received minor surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

Her spokeswoman, Jennifer Glassman, said: "There's no permanent damage. She will begin work again in January."

Her manager, Barbara Stark said Brooke will be released from hospital later today and is feeling "blessed and lucky".

Earlier this year, Brooke's ex, actor Bruce Willis, admitted their split was his fault - because he wasn't prepared to commit to her.

Willis, who has three children with ex-wife Demi Moore, said: "We talked about marriage. She's a wonderful girl. It was fun. We were always laughing. It was me who had the problem.

"I just have doubts about my ability to maintain a relationship necessary for marriage. If I know anything about myself, I know that."
