The actress - who was nominated for the Best Actress prize for her performance in 'Mrs Henderson Presents'- went for a bra fitting with underwear giant, Victoria's Secret, before the glitzy ceremony but makersstruggled to measure her huge breasts.
An insider said: "All the female nominee's were sent a pink bra with a 5.5carat diamond brooch pinned to it. It was worth about $15,000.
"There were all given a fitting session, but Judi Dench was little difficultbecause she was, how can I say this, a larger woman with voluptuous assets."
Earlier this week, Dench defended new James Bond, Daniel Craig - brandinghis critics "despicable".
The actress, who reprises her role as spy boss M for a fifth time in new movie 'Casino Royale', has lashed out at the actor's detractors insisting hewill make a fantastic 007.
She said: "I hate the way people have been attacking Daniel Craig.
"It's despicable and it disgusts me. I have filmed with him in Prague and the Bahamas and he is a fine actor. He brings something new and edgy to therole. His critics will be proved wrong."
