Joely Richardson's near boob

Joely Richardson has confessed she almost had a boob job - because she liked the attention she received when she wore a pair of fake breasts.

The 'Nip/Tuck' star donned the prosthetic chest as her character in the hit cosmetic surgery drama had just had her breasts enlarged and she says it was amazing at how much more admiring looks were aimed in her direction.

She said: "I had these enormous fake breasts on for filming and I had a very different reaction from the crew as I walked around the set in my tight golf sweaters.

"I have always wanted bigger breasts but I've held off from surgery, partly because I'm a scaredy cat and partly because I like my breasts. They're small but happy."

However, 39-year-old Joely - who is dating her 'Nip/Tuck' co-star John Hensley, 27 - says she is wary of going under the surgeon's knife - because she doesn't want to become obsessed with her looks.

She added in an interview with Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I meet people in their 20s who have already had work done. This obsession for the perfect Stepford Wives look is frightening. Living in LA and being around the idea of the perfect look 24 hours a day, you become more aware of plastic surgery. I don't know, I feel once you go down that road, you can't stop."
