Noisy Sean Connery sued by neighbours

Sean Connery is being sued for £15million by his neighbours - for being noisy.

A family living beneath the 'James Bond' actor, in New York, have filed a law suit complaining that he plays unacceptably loud music at all hours.

Dr Burton Sultan - who lives with his wife and daughters on the lower four floors of the Manhattan building, while Connery stays on the top two floors - claims the 74-year-old star has made his life a misery since moving in to the building, in 2001, and has astonishingly branded him a "rude, foul-mouthed, fat old man"On one occasion, after his daughter went to complain about the noise, Dr Burton claims: "Connery answered the door in his bathrobe, unkempt and dishevelled. No longer 'the sexiest man alive' portrayed in the tabloids and bearing no resemblance to the superspy who announced himself as 'Bond, James Bond', Connery's appearance and behaviour was that of a rude, foul-mouthed, fat old man."

The ophthalmologist also claims he has had to endure "deafening noise, fumes, dripping water, cracked walls and an infestation if rats" caused by renovation work Connery has been having carried out on the £2million home - which is owned by his son - for over three yearsA spokesman for the veteran actor has refuted the claims, insisting he, and his wife Micheline, rarely stay at the apartment.

Yesterday (22.02.05) Connery dismissed the claims as "ridiculous."
