Beyoncé's Coldplay dream

Beyoncé Knowles has confessed she is desperate to record a duet with Coldplay star Chris Martin.

The Destiny's Child singer admits she is a huge fan of the British rockers and would love to get in the studio with the multi-talented musician.

She said: "I've done duets over years but would love to work with Coldplay. Singing with Chris would be cool."

Rumours are rife Chris, who is married to Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, could be interested in hooking up with the 'Bootylicious' singer to record a track.

Earlier in the week, R'n'B star Ashanti revealed she was eager to collaborate with Beyoncé.

The 'Only U' singer quashed rumours of a rift between the two artists, saying she respected her chart rival and would love to record a song with her.

She said: "When you get two women making hot music, comparisons are going to be made and talk of feuds begin. I admire what she does and don't have a problem with her. I'm not opposed to working with her. I've talked about making a record with other strong females."
