Britney Spears' second marriage is reportedly on the rocks.

Insiders say the 23-year-old beauty, who wed former dancer Kevin Federline just five months ago, has been rowing with her new husband over money after she was left to pick his $5,400 bill for a weekend he spent partying in Las Vegas last month.

26-year-old Kevin, who hasn't been seen publicly with his wife for some time, has also been spotted without his wedding ring, fuelling rumours that the short-lived marriage is already over.

A source told America's In Touch magazine: "Kevin has suddenly started partying like a single guy.

"In addition to going out on several occasions without his wedding band on, he's been hanging out with his old posse of pals and flying to Las Vegas for weekends of drinking and gambling."

Insiders say Kevin's erratic behaviour has made the sexy star to question her plans to start a family with her new husband.

Friends of the 'Toxic' singer claim that Kevin's lack of responsibility in the home and the fact that he left his previous girlfriend when she was six months pregnant, have forced Britney to reassess the relationship.

A source told America's Life and Style weekly magazine: "It has occurred to Britney that Kevin isn't a great help in cleaning up after the dogs. And he might not be too eager to be on midnight diaper patrol either."

But other reports suggest that Kevin feels that sidelined by the level of attention that his wife pays to her three pampered pets.

The source added: "The other night Britney was leaving with Kevin for a romantic meal, but Bit Bit whined and whined and refused to be left. Eventually, they stayed home and ordered takeout."
