2005-01-19 07:00:02The opera babe, who has been renting a lavish £1100-a-month apartment in Cardiff's exclusive bay-side district with boyfriend Kyle Johnson, has now made an offer on a humble three-bedroom terraced house opposite her grandparents, Maria and Edward Cooper.
The 'Voice of an Angel' star's £220,000 pad is also located on the same dead-end street as her best friend Abby 'kebaby' Oag and less than 200 metres from her mother and step-father's new home.
But current occupants on the tranquil residential street are less than excited by the prospect of their new celebrity neighbour - famed for her partying lifestyle and turbulent relationships.
One said: "This is a quiet street and we want it to stay that way."
Last year, Charlotte's mother blasted claims that the 18-year-old star was spending too much money after reports suggested she had already spent more than half of her £6.5 million fortune.
The sexy singer, who reportedly limits herself to spending £300 a week, splashed out on a week long party to celebrate her birthday and a luxury holiday for her friends - but her mother, Maria Church, slammed rumours that the cash was running out.
She said: "I can't believe it when I hear Charlotte will be penniless soon - it's rubbish. She is very sensible with money."
