Duran Duran's Nick Rhodes claims Robbie Williams lacks the drive to break America.

The keyboard player - who achieved phenomenal success in the US with his own band - believes the 'Angels' singer has the talent to be successful stateside, but has been too happy to rest on his achievements in Britain.

He said: "I like Robbie very much, I don't know why he hasn't broken America yet. Maybe he hasn't put in enough work over there."

Meanwhile, Robbie has confessed he was scared of the 'Magic Roundabout' when he was a child.

The heartthrob star, who has been cast as 'Dougal' in the animated movie adaptation of the classic children's TV series, says he was too frightened to watch the show as a youngster.

He said: "I was scared of animation when I was a kid. 'Doctor Who' was no problem but as soon as the 'Magic Roundabout' came on, I used to hide behind the sofa."
