A spokesman said: "Justin has always considered himself a darts player first and foremost and throws with precision and skill."
The glam rocker, who also plans to host a darts-based celebrity TV show, was given the honorary pro-ranking after signing up with sports manufacturers BW-darts to design his own range of arrows.
He said: "I've got the silk shirts and the darts. All I need to do now is work on my game."
Meanwhile, the skinny singer is set to release a solo album - titled 'British Wail' - after finding time to record material without his brother Dan or other bandmates.
He said: "It's a lot less rock than the band stuff.
"I'd written most of it in demo form before The Darkness took off but I've only finished it properly recently. Anything I write with Dan goes to the band but I've held on to my solo stuff."
