"Do I still have feelings for my ex?"

It’s quite possible you still have feelings for your ex – when we break up with someone, just because the relationship ends, doesn’t mean our feelings and emotions towards that person die, too. In fact, it’s quite common for the feelings of friendship and love to remain on.

What’s important to realize, though, is why that relationship ended. While your boyfriend said it ended due to distance, there were clearly other issues there seeing as how he’s now dating someone at your school! What a jerk! He should have been honest with you when he ended the relationship, and let you know what was really on his mind. Seems to me that for him the relationship just didn’t feel right. And that’s okay – not every union’s a perfect match. But he should have been upfront, because now he’s wound up hurting you more in the end. So even if you do still care for him, understand that it’s best that you’re apart right now. Especially because it seems you have a guy right in front of you who cares a lot for you!

So, if you’re into this new guy, then go for it! Accept the fact that yes, you might still care for and have feelings for your ex, but the guy you’ve got now is worthy of your love, time and affection, too! And best of all, unlike your ex, he’s reciprocating your loving feelings.

My best advice – just go with it! Have fun, and enjoy being in your new relationship!
