"I miss my ex-girlfriend"

Dear Blacksburg,

It seems to me the best thing to do if you don’t know how she feels is ask her! It’s definitely possible that she feels the same way you do, and that perhaps being back with you for that one night made her miss you and want to be back together with you, also. But maybe both of you are refraining from discussing this with the other out of fear of rejection. In my opinion, if you don’t ask, you’ll never know. And you may always wonder, and always regret your silence.

It’s also quite possible that for her, it was merely a night of passion with an ex-boyfriend. And if that’s the case, than unfortunately, the best thing to do is move on. Continuing to talk to her and have one night stand’s with her will only hurt you and cause you pain, if she has no intention of getting back together with you. Although sad and difficult, in this situation it’s best to just let go so you can open yourself up to the possibility of finding someone new; someone who will return the loving, romantic feelings that you feel for them.

But regardless, the only way you’ll know for sure what to do is by asking her how she’s feeling and what she wants out of this situation. So what are you waiting for? Go ahead, talk to her. Whatever the outcome, I guarantee you’ll be glad you did.
